How would anyone start up a new business – the old fashioned way would be to engage a super-duper advertising agent who spends a fortune getting your company and products noticed in the mainstream media, or at least at local level.  Or you would take part in presentations at trade fairs and seminars.  Getting out there and ‘pressing the flesh’ was the way forward for centuries.   Not these days – unless the corporation is a mega big one, in which case they probably own the media as well.

  • The new perceived ideas would include starting a podcast or regular blog on the world famous digital video channel, but to keep it to local area.
  • Advertise any homemade items on the best of the crafting e-commerce sites
  • Launch a delivery business – delivering the products ordered in mega numbers online and shipped through networks of drivers
  • Sell any products online via well known social media platforms and via party gatherings at which networking is possible.
  • Use affiliate marketing tools and piggy back off established products which can include yours as an extra or associated idea
  • Start a coaching business or retrain to take in a coaching career, say as a personal trainer or life coach

Some of the speediest business start ups with less, if any outlay would be SEO operations and other digital platform work.  But although it is easy to get started, maintaining momentum requires knowledge and belief in one’s abilities.
